This was one of those projects I saw on Pinterest first and decided to try myself. I’m tight on money this year, so I thought I’d bake some cookies as a Christmas gift for my relatives.

The dough came out beautifully, but I only had a very small piping tip, so the cookies were extremely taxing to pipe. On my sixth cookie I worried about giving myself a hand injury, so I decided to make a log instead.
Since the log cookies were a bit plain, and I wanted the presentation to be cute, I decided to make more colors. I used red and green dye to make them look Christmas-y.
The dog’s nose got a little squished when I put the container lid on, but after refrigerating it, it unstuck itself and looked just fine. I biked over to my grandparents’ house that afternoon to deliver the goods, and everybody loved them! That made me happy.
I tasted a few myself and they were perfection. The almond extract made them smell so nice.
